Machining center basic operation

 It mainly explains the functions of the keys on the operation panel of the machining center, so that students can master the adjustment of the machining center, preparations before machining, and program input and modification methods. Finally, a specific part is taken as an example to explain the basic operation process of machining center machining parts, so that students have a clear understanding of the operation of machining center.

I. Processing requirements

Machine the parts shown in the figure below. The part material is LY12, which is produced in a single piece. The part blank has been machined to size.

Optional equipment: V-80 machining center

Preparations

Relevant preparatory work is completed before processing, including process analysis and process route design, tool and fixture selection, and programming.

Operation steps and contents

1. Start up, each coordinate axis returns to the origin of the machine tool manually

2. Tool preparation

Select one of Φ20 end mill, Φ5 center drill, and Φ8 twist drill according to the processing requirements, and then use a spring collet shank to clamp Φ20 end mill, the tool number is set to T01, and use a drill chuck holder to clamp Φ5 Drill, Φ8 twist drill, the tool number is set to T02, T03, the edge setting tool of the tool setting tool is mounted on the collet chuck, and the tool number is set to T04.

3. Put the tool holder of the clamped tool into the tool magazine manually, that is,

1) Enter "T01 M06" and execute

2) Manually install the T01 tool on the spindle

3) Follow the above steps to place T02, T03, and T04 into the magazine

4. Clean the workbench, install fixtures and workpieces

Clean the flat-mouthed vise and install it on a clean workbench. Use a dial indicator to locate and level the vise, and then mount the workpiece on the vise.

5. Tool setting, confirm and input the workpiece coordinate system parameters

1) Use the edge finder to set the knife to determine the zero offset value in the X and Y directions and set the zero offset value in the X and Y directions.

Entered into the workpiece coordinate system G54, the zero offset value of Z in G54 is input as 0;

2) Place the Z-axis setter on the top surface of the workpiece, call No. 1 tool from the tool magazine and mount it on the spindle. Use this tool to determine the zero offset value of the workpiece coordinate system and enter the zero offset value of Z In the length compensation code corresponding to the machine tool, the "+" and "-" numbers are determined by G43 and G44 in the program. If the length compensation command in the program is G43, enter the Z-zero offset value of "-" to the corresponding machine tool. In the length compensation code;

3) In the same procedure, enter the Z-direction zero offset value of No. 2 and No. 3 tools into the length compensation code corresponding to the machine tool.

6.Enter the processing program

The computer-generated machining program is transmitted to the memory of the CNC system of the machine through the data line.

7. Debug processing program

Debugging is performed by moving the workpiece coordinate system along the + Z direction, that is, by lifting the knife.

1) Debug the main program and check whether the 3 tools have completed the tool change action according to the process design;

2) Debug 3 subroutines corresponding to 3 tools respectively, and check whether the tool movement and machining path are correct.

8.Automatic processing

After confirming that the program is correct, restore the Z value of the workpiece coordinate system to its original value, set the rapid traverse override switch and cutting feed override switch to the low level, and press the NC start key to run the program and start machining. Pay attention to the tool path and remaining moving distance during machining.

9. Remove the workpiece for inspection

Select the vernier caliper for size inspection, and perform quality analysis after inspection.

10.Clean up the processing site

11. Shut down
